Boeing and Bombardier are talking about manufacturing aircraft on property nearby the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (KXNA). Why do air charter gurus care about this news? For one the rest of this story tells us a lot about the shape of our economy in the coming years.

This story illustrates how multinational firms, like Toyota, know how to get things done when it comes to competing globally but winning the peace locally. Furthermore, Hino, a Toyota owned truck company, seems to have the road map well planned out for its suppliers to coordinate their movement to this area.

Why all the Toyota harping? Well, a quick Google of "Toyota Aircraft" pulls this AvWeb piece that elaborates on just how weak US firms are when it comes to the manufacturing processes of aircraft, relative to what the Japanese know it takes to make them cheaper and better.
