While some may say this sounds like a bit too much of a shill, the fact is that there IS news in this otherwise ordinary Op Specs update for a NYC area carrier. Furthermore, as air charter / air taxi zealots who are partial to the PC-12, we just couldn't resist drawing some attention to Eric Zipkin's success. Never mind the fact that Eric (founder of Tradewind) has hired AirWebster to promote his aircraft, the fact is that pushing "the best" charter aircraft (in our humble opinion) is not only easy, but it really opens up a lot of doors in the New York air charter market. The big story here might be that aircraft owners or heretofore "non-owners" are realizing that owning an aircraft that works hard, is managed aggressively is not a bad side business for those willing to put in the time. While some jump with glee over the impending air taxi manufacturing boom, the harsh reality is that big single engine turbprops are nothing to sneeze at. (DOC's are sub $400 / hr. .. and remember, this the range of many of our new microjet friends - the single engine turboprops are just bigger, carry more and are market 'proven' in many ways.) It is no secret that the chief whackjob at AirWebster has huge ambitions for Proletariat Air Taxi wtih the PC12, but with the good synergy being formed between Tradewind Aviation and AirWebster, Proletariat Air Taxi is one step closer to whack job reality. Stay tuned air charter fiends, the next version of sleeping bag and trail mix equipped pilots are right around the corner. (Yes, you guessed it, we are lowering the overnight costs of $500 / night!) This post was made by Adam Webster who can even put sugar charged children to sleep, when he waxes on and on about the PC12 and its virtues. Please note, if you come to this conference he promises not to talk about PC12's. N.B. A quick "shill disclosure" to this post. AirWebster is a co-founder of RSVPair (shameless self promotion) and Tradewind (shameless customer promotion) is a client of both RSVPair's and AirWebster's. We apologize for our ways in advance but welcome suggestions from competitors who wish to share news with the homepage of RSVPair. |
