This is big news for the many aviation and air charter websites that don't get the basic precept of the tools we use to find stuf fon the Internet: They are smarter than you. To make matters worse, they don't even employ outsourced labor from overseas, they simply have robots analyze your website to see if your lying. Lying to one of these tools is an interesting definition. Making big lists of things that have little or no value to anyone, but are great content for searches, are one way to get flagged for sure. If you get caught doing this (and this may take months or years) you will get kicked off the first page result for sure, but more likely sent to the abyss of 100 pages down and more. So, think of it this way: If lots of people link to you, you have relevant content, and your site is genuinely helpful, then you will succeed. If you attempt to trick, fool or deceive the robot (who visits you frequently if you are popular, less so if you are not) then your days are numbered. Just ask BMW. Nice cars, not so nice web tactics. |
