An interesting story if only due to the fact that it is a good sign that math has entered the process by which entrepreneurs evaluate their future models. While we'll refrain from making slanderous & derisive comments about windows (why not a web based app?) the air charter knights of the round table can safely say that anything involves math (sobriety) is good and it also removes a lot of the secret sauce mystery that can intimidate investors. While driving a cab is much less glamorous an occupation, in a sense this software certainly is a welcome tool. It will probably highlight that the pillars of an air taxi business will be asset allocation, service quality and aviation related parameters such as weather. Strangely, the paradigm we live in forces us to think of airplanes as things that will break, whereby the Chevy Caprices plying the avenues of New York rarely get grounded on such a basis. The air taxi revolution, if anything, may bring about a cultural shift where aircraft that break more than once per month or year are simply viewed as "unfit for duty." Either way, any software that encourages analysis will force the players to see that the parameters they can control will be the most important to focus on. This post was made be Adam Webster who has been seen using a windows computer to run select applications in secret, though he'll never admit this publicly. |
