Ok, so I fully realize that the double decker Airbus A380 is well outside of our air charter and "air taxi" niche, but this story was irresistable. Indeed, we all know that obesity is currently an epidemic in the US.Unfortunately, it is also a problem for Airbus engineers when it comes to their Airbus A380.

In fact, this story is very indirectly (but importantly) related to another post that shows some airline manufacturers going the other direction - notably Boeing. One says "super size me," while the other is dipping their toe in a different kind of water for a conventional airline supplier - smaller aircraft going to more airports, rather than fewer to bigger.
