An interesting story in that it offers air charter insight into the future minds of the feds when air taxi (Part 135) gets more stringent regulations. Older pilots (60+) have often found refuge in private air charter firms once they have passed 60 in the airline (Part 121) world. Most of you certainly rememberAl Haines and the case for not retiring pilots who are good (experienced shall we say) at dealing with problems. This story shows that the logic of his struggle is still alive and well. |
