City Centre
Toronto Island CANADA (CYTZ / YTZ)
The Toronto City Centre Airport (IATA code of: YTZ, ICAO code of: CYTZ), in Toronto, Ontario, Canada is located on the Toronto Islands very close to the major metropolitan centre of “Downtown” Toronto. It is favored by business travelers, though banned to jets (due to noise restrictions), for its walking distance to all major points of commerce in downtown Toronto.
It was opened in 1939 as the Port-George Airfield, and became generally known as the Island Airport. Originally intended to be Toronto’s primary airport, it quickly took a back seat to the larger expanses afforded at Malton (which has since become part of Mississauga.) The Malton field was originally intended for use in case of bad weather. In 1994, the name was changed to Toronto City Centre Airport, but many Torontonians still call it the “Island Airport.”
While not based at the Island Airport, Novajet accomodates any type of charter out of any of the regional airports in the greater Toronto Metropolitan area. Whether you need a quick charter solution for a flight to New York in their Falcon 10 or need to discuss the logic of heavy jet utilization and related air charter management, then this company is for you.
