Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, also called Detroit Metro Airport or simply Metro Airport is an airport in Romulus, Michigan, near Detroit, Michigan, and is a major hub for Northwest Airlines. The airport has six runways and three terminals. It was the nineteenth busiest passenger airport in the world in 2004. DTW was the world's tenth busiest airport in 2004 in terms of the number of aircraft that took off and landed. On February 25, 2002, The McNamara Terminal opened it doors for flight operations, closing the doors of the former Northwest Airlines terminal at the Davey Terminal.
