Youngstown Warren Rgnl

Youngstown, OH USA (KYNG / YNG)

In 1797 John Young purchased 15,560 acres in the Mahoning Valley for $16,085 from the Connecticut Land Company. (Mahonig is a Native American word derivation meaning “at the lick” as in salt lick.) The plan of downtown Youngstown today remains essentially the same as the plan for the original town that was laid out by John Young. This was the beginning of settlement in the Mahoning Valley. Today, Youngstown is still battling its way out of the ashes creating opportunities for old and new industries. A proud member of the community, The Youngstown / Warren Regional Chamber serves the interests of all local aviation and related businesses.

The Regional Chamber is a proud sponsor of this airport.
