It has been improved over the years with the addition of a control tower, instrumentation, runway lights and other improvements. Napa Airport is now considered one of the finest general aviation airports in the greater Bay Area. Japan Air Lines maintains a multi-million dollar airline pilot training facility at the airport.Napa Airport is located in what was once the undeveloped southern part of the county. This no longer holds true. Napa Valley Corporate Park just north of the airport and the Gateway Project along the entrance road to the airport have brought a large variety of industries to this area and the end is not in sight. This growth will see greater corporate use for the facilities at Napa Airport.  | |||||
