In 1930, Manassas Regional Airport/Harry P. Davis Field, was proposed by mayor Harry P. Davis, It was created in 1931 and was located on 95 acres of land located on Virginia Route 234. The area is currently known as Manaport Shopping center. The airport had to be moved to it's current location due to the residential growth.

Manassas, Virginia is located in the Washington DC area and credits DC with a lot of it's economic success.
